  2. Appointment Setting For New Reps • Hey______! This is______. How’s it going? WFA. Great! The reason I’m calling is, I just got started with a new company that I’m very excited about. Would you help me out and allow me to come and show it to you & _______? Great! I’m scheduled to work Wednesday and Thursday, which day would be best for you? Is 6:00 or 8:00 better for you?

  3. WHAT IS IT?(OH CRAP, WHAT DO I SAY NOW?)STAY CALM…. BREATHE!!! • The name of the company is Primerica Financial Services (PFS). I’m just learning about it, so I don’t want to try and explain it because I’ll mess it up, when we come by I’ll let my trainer explain it to you and he’ll answer all of your questions. So when would be better ________ or ________? OR • The name of the company is Primerica Financial Services. I’m new and can’t really explain too much. It’d be like trying to explain how to give a haircut over the phone. That would turn out pretty ugly, right? When we come by I’ll let my trainer explain it to you, so when would be better_______ or _________?

  4. WHAT IF THEY KEEP HOUNDING ME FOR INFORMATION? • We show families how to get out of debt faster, save for retirement and college expenses. That’s information that everyone should know, wouldn’t you agree? We’ll explain it all when we come. I honestly just need your help with a training appointment.   5. I’m not interested! • That’s okay! I know you and ______ know a lot about finances. I’m working really hard to get my name out and you just knowing what I do would be a big help. Hey, I wouldn’t ask if this wasn’t very important to me. After understanding what I do, maybe you could point me in the direction of someone who actually need my help. Would you help me out and allow me to come and show you and _____? Great! Which day is best? _____ or ______?

Cont. • If you were to ask me to help you out with something, what do you think I would say? • You’re someone close to me and I respect you, how would you feel if I told you I wouldn’t help you out? • What do you have to loose? It’s to help me. I’m asking for a few minutes of your time. That’s what friends/relatives do for each other, right?

I just got (certified, my securities licensed, promoted) with my company and I’m very excited about it. Would you help me out and allow me to come and show you & _______ what I do?   8. Tips Appointment Setting • A wise man once said…you can’t make money while sitting at your own kitchen table. • Just be yourself! Talk and act like yourself. • You KNOW we do the RIGHT things for families. • Be confident! It’s often your confidence that will get you in the door. • Don’t take it personal. They are not saying no to you or to the company. They are saying not to themselves. • NO means just not now. • If at first you don’t succeed…try and try again! YOU’LL GET BETTER!
