  1. Being a Social Activist was my dream! Life has been generous towards me, it has given me opportunities to grow and realize my dreams. But often I felt that there was more I could do, something that helps me grow as a human being. I have a lot of respect for the role of a social activist for they are the ones who bring about change. While I have grown and achieved, I also see a great amount of underprivileged people around me who are still fighting for basic necessities for whom dreams are a luxury they cannot afford. This inequality deeply disturbs me and hence I decided to be a social activist. I am Vijay Tata, a social activist in Bangalore. I had a dream that was actually a promise – a promise to create beautiful reality! My tryst with myself is to be a better human and thus I found my path in philanthropy, in being a social activist. I was born in Andhra Pradesh, and grew up with humble roots. Professionally I always knew that I would be an entrepreneur for I always felt I possessed the business acumen. The journey to be a self-made entrepreneur was never easy it was festered with challenges, I began at level zero and grew. I first ventured into the real-estate sector in Bangalore and managed to create a successful organization. I also ventured into the media business and started a new-channel, for I believe media is an important factor in shaping a society. Success happened, and yet somehow I always experienced a void. The void was linked to my yearning of giving back to the society that had given me so much. I felt that it isn’t fair to hoard, the ideal answer to all issues of this world is to share! In this void I sowed the seed of being a Social activist, in fact to be one of the leading social activist in India and a social activist in Bangalore. The seed first grew into a small sapling, wherein my wife Amrita and I initiated Future Kids, under which we supported 40 underprivileged kids by providing them with food, shelter, clothing and education, by providing them with all the necessities that will ensure a brighter future for them. They are our family, in fact Amrita takes personal interest in their nutrition and cooks for themselves. In their happy smiles and contended faces I found an answer to my void and thus I decided to accelerate my dream of being a Social activist in India and a social activist in Bangalore. My wife and I we decided to start an NGO – New India! A self-funded NGO that would realize the dream of my being a social activist and amplify it. New India is our way to give back to the society and our first step of being social activist. The NGO is committed to three major causes - Women empowerment, better future for underprivileged children and quality healthcare in India. Our country has an alarming rate of rape and violence of women, thus we decide to fight this burning issue through new India. Our country also has a large number of kids who are deprived of basic necessities and education and are also exploited as child labourers at New India and social activists we aim at architecting a better future for the kids of India and finally we commit to creating quality health- care options for the poor. As our first big attempt in this direction as social activists, we have gifted 50 acres of land for the development of a cancer hospital and we also aim at giving 100 crores more in staggered way to the cause of cancer treatments for the poor. As a social activist, our dream is tocreate an India that is invincible. I hope our dream reaches its destiny and comes true! Also we request you to join in our journey and be a social activist too. We don’t need your donation, we just need your commitment and support! Support us to make a New India.
