  1. QoS STA function applied to Mesh STA Authors: Date: 2008-11-12 Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  2. Abstract The proposed text resolves CID 362, 1187, 1486, 1495, 1496, and 1186 in accordance with CID 1186 resolution notes. Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  3. CID1186 Resolution notes said.... • Furthermore, the ad hoc team believes that QB2 is not applicable in an MBSS. However, 7.1.3.4 is applicable, 7.1.3.5, however, is applicable in part only. Thus, the normative text of 7.1.3.5 has to be amended. Especially 7.1.3.5.1 (TID subfield) has limited meaning in the MBSS. The HCCA related settings cannot be applied. Therefore, solely TIDs 0-7 may be used. Furthermore, 7.1.3.5.6 and 7.1.3.5.7 cannot be used in the MBSS. In the latter sections of 802.11-2007 an according statement is needed. 9. MAC sublayer functional description Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  4. CID1186 Resolution notes also said.... • Define the MP via the PICS. That does mean the MP should include EDCA and could include Block ACK functionality (e.g.) but may not include any HCCA and APSD functionality. reflect toPICSand5.2.11.1 Introduction to mesh Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  5. 7.1.3.4 Sequence Number field • 7.1.3.4.1 Sequence Number field • Add MSTA description • But we don’t need to mention Mesh Data frame because description of QoS Data frame can be cover it. Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  6. 7.1.3.5 QoS Control field • Figure out “valid subfield” for MPs and add description Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  7. 5.2.11.1 Introduction to meshand PICS Add description that • MSTAs support: • EDCA • Block ACK • MSTAs does NOT support: • HCCA • APSD • Admission Control and TSPEC setup Youko Omori, NEC Corporation

  8. 9. MAC sublayer functional description • 9.1.3.1 HCF contention-based channel access (EDCA) • 9.9.1.2 EDCA TXOPs • 9.9.1.3 Obtaining an EDCA TXOP • 9.9.1.4 Multiple frame transmission in an EDCA TXOP • Add “MSTA” description to “non-AP QoS STA” description Youko Omori, NEC Corporation
