CJSF January 29, 2009 Meeting Announcements and Updates

Welcome to CJSF! This meeting focuses on recognizing the leadership team's efforts in service learning projects. Please attend all committee meetings as your membership status relies on it. Service hours are due ASAP, and applications for the spring will be available soon. Seventh graders interested in leadership will join service learning projects, and meetings will move to Wednesdays. Volunteers needed for research and 7th-grade orientation support. Congrats on a successful first semester, and remember to turn in your service hours!

Announcements • KUDOS to the leadership team for doing an amazing job spearheading the service learning projects!! • Please be sure to attend all the meetings for your committee- your membership status depends on it! • Service hours are due to me ASAP. • Applications for spring will be available soon; you need to re-apply if you plan to continue.

  3. Old Business • 7th graders: some will join your service learning projects (those interested in leadership next year); the rest will fulfill community service requirements • Meetings will change to Wednesdays so we can all meet in the multi. Any conflicts? • Field trip: I need 1 or 2 volunteers to do the research and get back to me…

  4. New Business • Some of the leadership team has graciously agreed to help with 7th grade orientation to CJSF. If you would like to help (for service hours!), please let me know. • I will also need help with all the paperwork for 1st semester and organizing 2nd semester applications. Service hours granted! • Volunteers to do the February schedule for using membership cards?

  5. Service Learning • Presentations from each group- How are things shaping up? • Meet with your project groups…

  6. Adjourn • CONGRATS on a job well done in the first semester!! • Next meeting: WEDNESDAY, February 25th in the MULTI • Next leadership: THURSDAY, February 19th in E5 • Don’t forget to turn in your service hours!
