In October 2006, Akego Gallery in Endicott, NY, set out to transform the city's atmosphere through art. Our objectives include promoting African and African Diaspora art by creating an engaging and educational gallery space. We aim to provide a flexible environment for art displays, children's reading, and social activities, while strategically enhancing gallery revenue with a well-located museum shop. Adequate storage for both 2-D and 3-D artworks is essential, and innovative lighting through glass panels will enhance the gallery's aesthetic, inviting more people into our community-focused hub.
