  2. Jackson Elementary was built in 1967 and renovated in 2011. There are 261 students in Pre-K through grade 5 and we offer a full-time life skills classroom.

  3. We have had an Anti-Bullying Program since 2001. We try to teach all students to accept everyone for who they are and to celebrate uniqueness and diversity. We are always striving to make it a better school where everyone can learn.

  4. There is a renovated conference room so we can welcome families and agencies into a more professional and confidential area. This space also serves as a parent resource center and a teacher resource center.

  5. This is our new addition which consists of a new gym for the students and community.

  6. Before this addition, students used a multi-purpose room which was the cafeteria, auditorium, and the gymnasium which posed different problems with students eating and getting the gym ready for Physical Education classes

  7. We can offer better programs to our students.

  8. Jackson Elementary was not ADA accessible so an elevator had to be installed so the school was up to all codes.

  9. Since the new gym was added, the playground had to be moved to the lower end of the playground in the middle of the track which gave the students more space to play and improve their social skills.

  10. With more playground space, this year we had our “Stay Fit for Life Day” around our playground. High School students came to Jackson Elementary School and helped with different stations for the students. They participated as well. The school raised about $5,000 for Relay for Life.

  11. Thank you! • Thank you for taking a brief tour of Jackson Elementary School. Hopefully, this shows our commitment and dedication in providing a better place for all students to be their best.
