Adjective “ER” • The suffix er is often added to adjectives to compare two things. • Examples:My feet are large.Your feet are largerthan my feet.
When a one-syllable adjective ends in a single consonant and the vowel is short, double the final consonant before adding er. When a word ends in two or more consonants, adder.
