A few sections of the industry are also going a step further to call graphene the wonder material of the new millennium. Indeed, graphene manifests quite a few unique characteristics. The material is flexible and lightweight, yet extremely hard and strong. At the same time, it is one of the superconductors of electricity. Since the inception of its commercial production, graphene has found its use in a large number of consumer industries. Today, you will find graphene in all the computers and electronic devices you use. It is also being used in water filtration and desalination plants as it can filter water effectively. Research is also going on to apply the utility of graphene in the defence sector. Nonetheless, graphene production has increased significantly in India in the last few years, thanks to the foresightedness of steel and other heavy metal manufacturers. The paint industry of India is undergoing a remarkable technological overhaul. So, they are exploring different ways to exploit the properties of graphene as a coating material. As a result, the demand for graphene is high in this industry. It is a good thing that the graphene manufacturers have rightly identified this opportune area. Last but not the least, the government is also expected to come forward to boost the motivation of the new graphene manufacturers in India.If not through direct funding, through helping vocational trainees develop skills in graphene manufacturing so that efficient manpower can come forward to assist the industry.
