Planning • Staff plan a mix of adult led and child initiated activities. • Staff observe children in their self initiated play and then make best fit judgements on Development by referring to the EYFS Guidance. • Judgements are used to inform planning so that it is closely linked to the children's developmental needs and interests. • Each child is assigned a key person.

  5. Key Person Role • Ensures learning and individual needs are catered for. • Supports needs of parents of children in their care. • Refers parents to specialist support if needed e.g. speech therapy.

  6. Observations by Staff • Self initiated play. • • Judgements are made. • • Next Steps are planned around • interests and development needs.

  7. Classroom Organisation • Continuous Provision AREAS • Focussed Activities • Enhanced Provision • Plans show the planned learning for indoors and outdoors

  8. Foundation Stage Profile • Summative assessment completed at the end of the Reception year. • Completed through ongoing observations throughout the year. • Shared with parents and Y1 teacher.
