Transforming Acute Ambulatory Services: Enhancing Patient Care and Staff Retention
This project, led by Vicki Durston, Cheyne Chalmers, and Lynne Bickerstaff at Southern Health, addresses the urgent need to redesign services for acute ambulatory care. By improving governance, creating a robust career structure, and implementing innovative models of care, we aim to enhance staff retention and optimize service delivery. Outcomes include significant reductions in hospital length of stay for conditions like cellulitis, alongside improved patient satisfaction and cultural engagement among staff. Learn how effective leadership and stakeholder engagement can drive transformative change.
