  2. How do we operationalize the practice of Inclusive Education? Modifying the mind that has been rigidly immersed in traditional special education – general education dichotomy will not be easy. • This endeavor demands enormous preparation long before implementation because it involves an adoption of an ideology.

  3. Readiness to embrace changes guided by principles and guidelines will require • a strong ideological foundation, • a purposive mind to master logistics, and • a pure heart that commits itself to the best interest of the child with SEN.

  5. Ideological Foundations What are the ideological foundations which the designing and implementation of the program will be based on? What principles and guidelines can be laid out to serve as support?

  6. Vision-Mission and Objectives What is the terminal goal of the program? What are the enroute objectives to achieve the terminal goal?

  7. Pupil Accommodation What are important considerations in the admission of CSEN? How helpful will a psychoeducational assessment be? Remember, in inclusive education, admission is based on age regardless of the disability, ability, gender, background of the child, among others). Thus, plan along adequate information about the child provided by the parent.

  8. Physical Structure: Equipment, Facilities, Lighting, Ventilation, Seating What physical–structure components need to be provided/ redone/modified considering the presence of the child with SEN?

  9. Staff Preparation The staff and support persons: teachers, administrators, librarians, storekeepers, security guards, maintenance personnel, medical-dental team, etc. How are the school staff and the support-service givers trained for the implementation of inclusion?

  10. Parent Preparation How will parents of CSEN and also of regular pupils be readied for inclusion? What is their involvement and participation?

  11. Curricular and Instructional Preparation How will curricular and instructional modifications and materials production/educational technology use be done and implemented? Who can be involved in such preparation? What are doable schemes for individualization within the regular class?
