  1. What is/ are the neuropathologic hallmark/hallmarks of this disease? Negri Bodies Neuritic Plaques and Neurofibrillary Tangles Lewy Bodies Filamentous tau deposits

  2. Neuritic Plaques -characteristic microscopic findings of Alzheimer's disease include -collections ofdegenerative presynaptic endings along with astrocytes and microglia. Silver impregnation stain

  3. Neuritic Plaques with Alzheimer's disease They have an amyloid core as seen here with Congo red stain.

  4. Neurofibrillary Tangles The tangle appears as long pink filaments in the cytoplasm. They are composed of cytoskeletal intermediate filaments. Silver Stain

  5. Lewy Bodies rounded pink cytoplasmic Lewy body in a neuron of the cerebral cortex from a patient with diffuse Lewy body disease, which can be a cause for dementia H and E stain

  6. Tau Protein Deposits associated with autosomal dominant frontotemporal dementia and parkinsonism linked to chromosome 17

  7. Negri Bodies - eosinophilic, sharply outlined, pathognomonic inclusion bodies (2–10 µm in diameter) found in the cytoplasm of certain nerve cells containing the virus of rabies,
