  3. It is dangerous to depend solely on what others say.

  4. WE SHOULD SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES FOR THE ANSWERS TO LIFE’S NEEDS: • To learn more about Jesus • To learn about salvation • To learn about the future • To learn how to live (See John 5:39.)

  5. We need to compare our lives with the Word of God.

  6. Following man-made traditions could be harmful!

  7. TRADITION could cancel the effect of the Word of God in your life.

  8. What is popular is not always right; What is right is not always popular.

  11. We need to adjust to the teachings of God’s Word.

  16. Ask God to direct us.

  17. Have a teachable attitude.

  18. Study God’s Word.

  19. Obey its directions.

  20. Attend a Bible believing Church.

  21. Submit to a truth preaching pastor.

  22. Remain humble and teachable.

  23. What men are taught determines what they believe.

  24. What they believe determines what they do.

  25. What they do determines their destiny.

  26. STUDY gets God’s approval and equips us for good works. (See 2 Timothy 2:15.)

  27. The Word of God can be wrongly divided. (See II Peter 3:20-21.)

  28. What kind of people misapply or distort Scriptures to their own destruction? (See II Peter 3:16.) • Unlearned people misapply the Bible • Unstable people misapply the Bible
