  4. What is recruitment/recruiting?

  5. Recruiting (招聘) • Definition • Recruiting is the process of generating a pool of qualified applicants for organizational jobs.

  6. Recruitment(招聘) • Recruitment refers to the process of attracting(吸引), screening (审查), and selecting (选择) qualified people for a job.

  8. For some components of the recruitment process, mid- and large-size organizations often retain professional recruiters( 职业招聘者)or outsource(外包)some of the process to recruitment agencies( 招聘代理商).

The recruitment industry has four main types of agencies: employment agencies(职业代理), recruitment websites (招聘网站) and job search engines (工作搜索引擎), “headhunters” (猎头公司) for executive and professional recruitment, and niche (璧龛)agencies which specialize in a particular area of staffing. • Some organizations use employer branding strategy and in-house recruitment instead of agencies.

The stages in recruitment include sourcing candidates by advertising or other methods, screening potential candidates using tests and/or interviews, selecting candidates based the the results of the tests and/or interviews, and ensure the candidate is able to fulfill their new role effectively.
