  4. The Battle of Lake Erie • It took place on September 10, 1813 • Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry is the Americans leader in the battle • His mission is to gain navel superiority on the lake.

  5. The battle was fought during the war of 1812 • The Americans had nine small ships. The two main ships were the Niagara and the Lawrence. • While the British had six vessels that were from there royal navy.

  6. The Lawrence • The Lawrence led the fight and fought until it was disabled with most of the crew killed or wounded. • The ship was caring Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry who was transferred by boat to the unharmed Niagarawhen the Lawrence was disabled.
