  3. One of the biggest myths is that the names are different, but the products are the same, but that is not right. So, what is the actual difference and how the products differ from one another? • Deodorants’ purpose is to mask bad odor and keep the bad odor away. That is used to mask the unpleasant body odor. • The composition does include fragrance, but its use is to keep unwanted body odor at bay and enhancing general body odor. • Perfumes has been part of human society for quite a long time. The rich history of perfume starts when they were developed using different flower, plants, leaves, etc. The essential oils were extracted, and perfumes were developed.

  4. What is Perfume? • Perfumes have been part of the society for a very long time. It is basically aromatic mixture of different kinds of fragrances. • The composition of the perfume contains essential oils or fragrance oils and the solvent used along with the chemicals used to make the perfume. • The art of making perfume has been very old, it dates to the ancient Egyptian times. • The art of making perfume has been handed down to the new generation from these ancient times and the product has been part of the human society for quiet a long time now. • The old age art of making perfume contained extracting the essential oil from different natural ingredients like flowers, plants, leaves, etc. by boiling them in the water and extracting the oil form of fragrance by collecting the vapor.

  5. Then this fragrance is added in the liquid alcohol adding some chemicals to mix it properly. • The perfume fragrances are combination of different fragrances that are derived from different natural resources. Perfumes can be floral based, spicy, or woody. • They can be fruity or of herb fragrances and then combined to suit the different types of perfume. • Perfumes have pleasant smell that makes a person feels good. The fragrance concentration in perfumes is more than that of deodorant hence the fragrance tends to last longer. • Perfumes are applied on the pulse point of your body in very smaller amount or else can be applied on cloths.

  6. What is Deodorant? • Many people believe that sweating generates the unpleasant body odor but sweat produced by our body does not have that strong unpleasant body odor. • The bacteria that thrive in moist-warm places generate these unpleasant body odor and deodorants are used to suppress these unpleasant body odors. • Deodorants are very important part of cosmetic industry. Since its inception in the market, they have been very a popular product in the industry and has turned into a very good business opportunity for the brands dealing in the cosmetics industry. • The fragrance or aroma in the composition deodorants works only to suppress the body odor produced by there bacteria. The anti-bacterial composition of deodorant is used to fight the bacteria and hence the odor generated by them.

  7. The fragrances used by the traditional deodorants are oil form and the base used is alcohol. Also, different chemicals are used to give it anti-bacterial edge to combat the bacteria. • WAFF Deodorants have innovated how traditional deodorants are manufactured. The fragrances used by other deodorants are chemical that are derived synthetically whereas WAFF uses natural fragrance derived from natural extracts. And the anti-bacterial component is also natural based making WAFF the only 100% natural deodorant available on the market.

  8. Difference between Perfumes and Deodorants • Difference in Composition: • The fragrance content on the deodorants is lower than that in perfumes. Hence the aroma tends to last longer when the perfume is applied than that with deodorant. • Difference of Purpose: • Deodorants are used to mask the unpleasant body odor whereas perfumes are applied to spread a pleasant aroma and create a good atmosphere.

  9. Different in Application: • Deodorants are applied directly on your body and specially at underarms. Perfumes are applied on pulse point or on your clothes. • Moreover, deodorants are cheaper when compared with perfumes. Perfumes are luxury product and can be very costly. • Deodorants are manufactured in liquid, solid or in roll-on forms. • Perfumes are sold in specially made glass bottles and in liquid from only. • Since, deodorants are used to mask the body odor, they are to be used on daily basis. Perfumes are luxury products that are not meant to be used on daily basis but on special occasion. • So, understand the difference in the products and use the products as per your requirement to get the best results.
