  2. WHY ARTOTEKA? • ART needs its own WORLD OF ART • WORLD OF ART consists of: • CREATORS, • ART PRODUCTION, • MEDIA, and • USERS • ARTOTEKA is a digital world that cannot exist without an optimized business system, digitized resources and users! 2

ARTOTEKA … THE SUM OF GOOD PRACTICES • If contemporary VISUAL and MULTIMEDIA (ViMu) production is: • NOT evaluated • NOT inventorized • NOT digitized • NOT promoted • We will NOT be able to discuss it 25, or more years from now • ARTOTEKA IS THE SUM OF: • OPEN DEPOT (MUSEUMS) • E-STORAGE (ARCHIVES) • Since it STUDIES, RESEARCHES, MUSEALIZES, POPULARIZES and ENABLES A VIRTUAL ViMu MARKET 2

In Slovenia We … • HAVE a rich practice of ViMu • DON’T HAVE a cultural marketplace for it • HAVE a need of a secure buying and selling market for the trade of art • DON’T HAVE an established e-market of ViMu • HAVE experts in the fields of heritage, informatization, management and economics • DON’T HAVE in place a system of musealization and e-storage of contemporary ViMu productions 2

IN THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT CARRIED OUT: • 3D capture • of the shape and texture of • the situla using the • WHITE LIGHT 3D • scanning method • 3D image • of the situla and its details with expert descriptions • 3D animation • to show certain facts about the situla based on professional interpretation • 3D stereoscopic animation • for viewing the situla with 3D glasses and controlling it remotely 2

ARTOTEKA and INTERACTIVE TV • An average user spedns more • than one hour a day watching TV, • or using their PC, ... • The new generation multimedia mobile devices (iPhone,iPad, Android,…) will even further increase this • The TV User Experience is the absolute winner • Getting “Eyeball” time from viewers is a great challenge! 2

  23. What is Interactive TV? • Combines • the TV user experience • interactivity of Web services, and • universal accessibility = “Over the Top TV” + user-friendly accessibility to TV-quality content on the web 2
