Highway 52…the Problem and the Solution

Highway 52 serves as a critical route for East County, where a significant percentage of residents commute outside of the San Diego area. With 196,000 resident workers, the need for effective traffic management is urgent. Proposed improvements include adding managed lanes, auxiliary lanes, and road widenings. The Highway 52 Coalition is dedicated to enhancing transportation efficiency and safety through stakeholder collaboration, grant funding, and public engagement. This initiative aims to create better environmental conditions, improve transportation options, and support regional transportation planning.
