What to expect… • AP Biology is equivalent to a college introductory Biology course for majors • 2 semester course with lab • Invest your time • Expect to spend 5-10 hours each week working on biology outside of class. • You must do the reading! • Lecture-based course • We’ll cover a VAST amount of material!

  4. Supporting Resources • To help you learn and understand the material, you will have… • lecture slides • lecture review worksheets • chapter study questions • practice MC questions and essays • lots of internet resources • Text: “Campbell” 7th ed. with an awesome CD

  7. How do I do well? • Exams • DO the READING! • STAY AWAKE in class. • Sleep at NIGHT! Eat Breakfast! • DO the HOMEWORK. • Practice questions at the end of each chapter. • Discuss essays in class. Practice! • Essays • Based on themes and concepts we learn all year • Answer with concise facts. • Leave flowery English essays in English class.
