A Low Power Folded Mixer Using Even Harmonic Technology

This paper presents a novel design for a low power folded mixer leveraging even harmonic technology. The proposed mixer operates with an input RF signal of 1.9 GHz at -40 dBm and a local oscillator signal of 0.948 GHz at 0 dBm, achieving an input third-order intercept point (IIP3) of -3 dBm and a power consumption of just 6.4 mW. Fabricated using TSMC's 0.18 μm 1P6M CMOS process, the device occupies a compact area of 0.989 x 0.559 mm. Experimental results validate the design, demonstrating its viability for energy-efficient RF applications.
