Prolife Mission • To protect promote and defend the sanctity and dignity of human life from conception to natural death. • A call/vocation to serve humanity; not a career • Respecting human dignity- entails avoiding all offences against life in all its stages • Sanctifying human life – acknowledging the consecrated nature of human life, the creative action of God. Our being in the image and likeness of God – Ex. 23:7 • Founded in the Gospel of Life – Evangelium Vitae

  3. Tools of Activism • Prayer – Deeply dedicated to seek God in each action and reaction. Crowned by St. Michael the Archangel. • Education – “That which discloses to the wise and disguises from the foolish their lack of understanding”- Ambrose Bierce. “Education makes a man amore intelligent shoemaker, if that be his occupation, but not by teaching him how to make shoes; it does so by the mental exercise it gives, and the habits it impresses”- John Stuart Mill • Guidance – Sense of direction • Counseling – social, psychosocial, spiritual

  4. Topical Issues 1. Contraceptives and Abortifaecients • “Most women would rather get STIs and HIV” than fall pregnant, in other words “ Most women fear/hate life and love death”- sounds good? • So, bloated campaigns to promote “family planning” • Youths exposed to these in early ages, later find it difficult to settle in marriage.

Abortion • Linked to contraceptives and Abortifaecients – the means justifies the end. • Experience in other countries where abortion is legal proves beyond doubt that legislation does not control the number of abortions, but rather leads to a huge increase in abortions. • Recent research purports an increase in abortions in Kenya, thus call for its legalization – eugenics

Topical Issues • Lest you forget the Grey Areas in the Constitution – Bill of Rights -Right to Life 26(3) A person shall not be deprived of life intentionally, except to the extent authorized by this constitution or other written law. (… local or international – Maputo Protocol etc) (4) abortion is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional, there is need for emergency treatment, or he life or health of the mother is in danger or if permitted by any other written law.(ibid).

  7. Topical Issues • Lest you forget the Grey Areas in the Constitution – Bill of Rights • Economic and Social rights • 43(1) Every person has the right: (a) to the highest attainable standard of health, which includes the right to healthcare services, including reproductive health care.

  8. Topical Issues • Medical Experimentation – ( invitro fertilization, Human cloning etc) • Embryos – Human beings in their earliest stages of development are to be treated like any other human being. • Its wrong to create embryos I order to destroy them later or use them in experiments.

  9. Reality check Culture of Life • Instituted by God • Founded in truth • Its eternal • Known beyond borders to be right and just Culture of Death • Founded by Satan • Entrenched in lies • Short-lived – tries to camouflage in truth • Tries to hoodwink the truth to remain afloat.
