The recent high school Deaf camp, attended by 80 students mainly from Seattle and Salem, was a great success, albeit with limited participation from Vancouver. The camp was engaging and fun, providing students with opportunities to connect and learn. This week, students are focusing on their 2nd-year Deaf/Hearing timeline presentations in the computer lab. They are preparing to gloss their presentations while also reflecting on the historic Deaf President Now (DPN) protest of 1988, which significantly impacted Deaf advocacy in America. A quiz will assess their understanding of the DPN events.
