EHR Implementation WG: Workflow Optimization Subgroup • Point of Care Documentation: • Tools we currently have access to are mostly VISIO documents. • What should supplement? • Discussed adding additional “tools” for a practice to document POC processes • Maybe include a chart for a practice to document a workflow, can be duplicative to include (Maybe useful for practices are unsuccessful in understanding a flowdiagram • Highlighting where MU intertwines with the process • Callouts?? • Maybe treat as a separate document

EHR Implementation WG: Workflow Optimization Subgroup • Point of Care Documentation: • Tools we currently have access to are mostly VISIO documents. • What should supplement? • Flow Diagrams: • Physician visit - included in sick and well visits • Nurse visit • Refill ( may be in CPOE) • Sick visit (urgent) • Well visit • Diagnostic Testing visits ( lab, EKG, Pulmonary function) • Allergy Shots • Immunizations/ Flu Workgroup feels these may need to be collapsed

EHR Implementation WG: Planning and Preparation • Financial Planning and Incentive Payment Tools: • Tools set includes: • Fort Drum Assessment tools • Information on Incentive Programs ( EHR, eRX federal and state) • What additional materials should be included in this section of the tool kit? • Workgroup will re-review the materials presented in the financial costing and EHR benefits sections

EHR Implementation WG: Planning and Preparation • Next Steps: • Workgroup needs to sign-off on the readiness assessment documents • Change management materials are being collapsed into one document • Draft documents will be presented to the NYeC Communication and Marketing team for editing and design

EHR Implementation WG: Approving SCP Tools • Tools approved by the SCP workgroup will be reviewed by the NYeC MARCOM • All materials will be presented to the POC for comment and sign-off • Approved tools will be stored on SharePoint and disseminated to all SCP participants • NYeC is reviewing the request for publication to the NYeC website
