ICee: The Innovation, Collaboration and Exchange Environment • ICee: aweb-based application for capturing, organizing and sharing information on future capabilities, technologies, projects, products and other items relevant to the Canadian Forces Modernization Effort used to feed the roadmap • VISION → To become the focal point providing full awareness and knowledge about everything related to soldier systems and CF Modernization • Developed and hosted by Industry Canada • Launched in October 2009, V1.5  Jan 10, V2.0  May 10 • GTEC Awards Nominate (Oct. 4, 2010)

  4. Who Uses ICee? (+103 users since last workshop) As of Sept 20th, 2010 • 25% are from DND • About half of the users is from industry • Good representation from universities, Research Organizations • International Participation

  5. Why Use ICee? (1/2) • All: • collaborate to the SSTRM Development • promote their technologies, products/sub-systems, R&D projects • do technology watching, promote events • DND uses ICee to communicate its future capability needs/requirements

  6. Why Use ICee? (2/2) • Industry and Academia use it to find partners • Government use it to promote S&T support programs • Most can promote patents and find licensing opportunities • Most can collaborate/share with Subject Expert Matters • All can use ICee for document repositary All contribute in building the ICee Knowledge Base

Suggested next steps: Get Registered Create relevant database items (promote your technologies/projects to DND and to the community of interest) Collaborate on TRM development content and on any other items of interest to you Give us your feedback (ICee is continually evolving – V2.5 coming) Come to the ICee stations during the workshop for assistance and training!
