Installation: Proposed timescale • We will install the support frame at the start of the ATF2 summer shutdown 2009 • Our current estimate: July and August • This will be followed by installation of services across the ATF2 tunnel • vacuum • electronic / electrical • Total time required around 6 weeks ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

Expected installation order • Laying out floor connections for frame (1wk) • Building up frame around QDzero (1 wk) • Setting up vacuum systems (2 wk) • Vacuum testing (1 wk) • Installing interferometer components (1 wk) • Installing thermometer system (2 days) • Setting up laser system / DAQ (10 days) ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

Survey requests • Matt will bring a cardboard version of the intended metalwork footprint on QD0 • This will be discussed with KEK survey team • Verify space for mounting survey markers • We would like to request an initial survey of our assembled vacuum system in summer 09 • This will improve our 3 D model for coordinate reconstructions ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

Electronics requirements • A standard size electronics rack • Width (support holes) 465 mm apart • Height: approx 2 m. • Power @ 110 V • Total instrumentation power load expected to be approximately 3 kW • Estimate at least 6 to 8 power outlets • Route for electronics readout cables • to be discussed during ATF2 meeting week ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

  7. Vacuum pump requirements • Is there an old scroll pump available at KEK? • Similar to Edwards ESDP12 • 15 m3 per hour • Ultimate pressure 1.6 x 10-2 mbar • 0.4 kW motor • KF25 inlet ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

Vacuum system • Pump location outside ATF2 beam enclosure • Requires vacuum line from pump to QDzero • We need to define the best location • Near the stairs (close to the “eels bedroom”) • Need to define route for vacuum line • during week of ATF2 meeting • Need assistance to weld pipes of vacuum line ATF2 Meeting Oxford: MONALISA

Laser hut location • We would like • to assess hut location using latest drawings when Matt visits KEK. • To have office furniture for DAQ room at KEK • Define route for cables and optical fibres from experiment to hut • (during week of ATF2 meeting) • Are there any safety regulations concerning protection of optical fibres along their route?
