  1. PinkSalt The Latin word "sal," which means salt, is where the term salt originates. It has been used as a medium of exchange and was once a prized commodity. The term salt is the ancestor of the word "salary" in English. Pink Salt One of the most often utilized elements in practically all foods. The sodium content of the human body is controlled. If levels are too high, we become thirsty and drink, which causes the kidneys to expedite the removal process.

  2. Uses: The main uses of salt are listing below: Food has long been preserved and flavoured using salt. It has been used in the manufacture of pottery, soap, chlorine, dyes, and bleaches. The chemical industry makes extensive use of it. It frequently appears at the table or in the kitchen as kosher salt, rock salt, sea salt, or free-flowing table salt. High sodium or salt content is disguised in common items like frozen chicken and fast food.

  3. Sources: 75 percent of dietary salt is hidden in salty snacks. Reduce your intake of processed and high-sodium foods. Sodium and salt are found in nature as a crystalline solid in rock salt or naturally dissolved in seawater. Natural sources of it include dairy products, certain vegetables, eggs, meats, and seafood. According to the AHA, these are the top six salty foods in the United States(U.S.): • rolls and bread • cured meats and cold slices • pizza • soup • sandwiches • chicken
