  1. Common Methods of Abortions While Having Early Pregnancy Throughout much of the world today, abortions are legal. Although the laws vary, but in around 61 countries including many parts of Europe, abortions are allowed and they take place without any restriction. In the United States, during the first and the second trimesters of pregnancy, abortion is legal. Generally, most abortions are done during the first trimester which refers to the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
