  1. BIBLE MOTHERS II TIMOTHY 1:5

  2. Negative Lessons From Some Bibles Mothers Job’s Wife Job 2:9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold to your integrity? Curse God and die!'' We should take into account that she also had lost everything. Including her children. Adversity comes into everyone’s life. Its part of life. The trials of life can either make us: Stronger Weaker How do we handle the burdens we are called to bear?

  3. James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. This woman lacked faith. She thought “not even God can make this better.” She also should of encouraged her husband to keep his faith. Instead she said: “Curse God and die!”

  4. Sarah Genesis 18:10-12 And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.'' And Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?'' In all fairness Sarah wasn’t the only one who laughed. Genesis 17:16-17 "And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.'‘ Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “ Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old. And shall Sarah who is ninety years old bear a child?”

  5. Again a lack of faith. Then God asked a question: Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Both Job’s wife and Sarah lacked faith. To Sarah’s credit we are told that she finally did believe. Hebrews 11:11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. How about us? Do we sometimes lack faith and doubt?

  6. When we are feeling weak in our faith we should ask ourselves the question: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?” We should also remember these verses: Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible.'' Mathew 19:26 "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'' We need to put our faith and trust in God and know come what may He will take care of us.

  7. Lot’s Wife—She Looked Behind. She disobeyed the command of the Lord. Genesis 19:17, 26 "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain.” But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. From her we learn the importance of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. As Christians we are warned not to look back. Luke 17:32 "Remember Lot's wife.” Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

  8. Even today we must be obedient to the Lord. Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Hebrews 5:8-9 Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. We should remember God requires obedience regardless of how silly or ridiculous it may seem to us.

  9. Positive Lessons From Some Bible Mothers. Hannah She prayed fervently to the Lord. She dedicated her child to the Lord. I Samuel 1:10-13 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said, "O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of your maid- servant and remember me, and not forget your maidservant, but will give your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.'' And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.

  10. One of the greatest things we can do for children is to teach them to pray and do it fervently. Fervent - Having or showing great warmth of feeling; intensely devoted, earnest, ardent; passionate. This is the way Hannah prayed. This is the way all of us should pray. James 5:16 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Hannah dedicated her son to the Lord. We today need to encourage our children to dedicate themselves to the service of the Lord.

  11. Lois and Eunice. II Timothy 1:5 When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. The greatest gift we can give our children is to instill in them the importance of faith in God, Christ, and His Word. Teach them to create their own faith. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. While this verse is given to fathers, mother also play a large role in the faith of their children.

  12. Mary, The Mother Of Jesus What kind of woman must she had been to be chosen by God to bring His Son into the world? Luke 1:28-30 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!'' But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Her characteristics must have included: Obedience Purity Holiness Righteousness These are characteristics we all should strive have in our their lives.

  13. Her characteristics must have included: Obedience Purity Holiness Righteousness These are characteristics we should all strive to have in our lives. Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law. Because He came into the world we have: A Savior. The hope of eternal life.

  14. Matthew 1:21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.'' John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. I John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
