  1. What makes Annapurna Region the heaven for trekkers? The Annapurna region in Nepal remains the most popular trekking destination among the trekkers — whether old or young, novice or experienced and rightly so! It is the diversity of the Annapurna Trek that does not cease from mesmerizing the trekkers who take up the trail. From breathtaking panoramas that can leave you spellbound to witnessing the tallest mountain (tenth) in the world--the Annapurna I at 8091 meters, the experiences are as varied as they are fascinating. The treat to the eyes does not just end here! The pleasure of watching Annapurna I live is multiplied when the trekkers get to witness Dhaulagiri, another tallest mountain located to the west of Annapurna I. The mountain stands tall above 8000 meters. The Annapurna Circuit Trek is not just home to some of the tallest peaks in the world but it also houses the deepest gorge in the world that is formed by the Kali Gandaki River. Besides some of the most thrilling and exciting adventures, the Annapurna Circuit Trek also offers panoramic views that are made of lush, green, natural forests, mountain peaks covered with snow and small villages that form settlements of different ethnic groups. It is among the most gratifying experiences to be surrounded by natural beauty in its most pristine form and experience the warmth in different cultures and diverse ethnicity. Another fascinating feature of the Annapurna Trek that makes it the heaven for trekkers is its captivating Annapurna Conservation Area. The area is spread across 7.629 km square which makes it the largest protected area in the Himalayan region of Nepal and is an enchanting land of biodiversity. It is covered under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) that aims at achieving environmental conservation together with socio-economic development of the region. Even though the entire Annapurna Region is breathtakingly beautiful and equally thrilling, there are three trekking destinations that broadly define the trekking region in Nepal.
