Rock This magazine looks like an old fashioned rock Magazine because of the colours, the font and the image. The font looks bold and old fashioned at the same time, and the colours are very mild, like the red is dark and the yellow is quiet dim making it seem dull and old fashioned. The image that is also at the front has a sepia effect on it, making it look like it was taken a long time ago.
R&B The colours used in this magazine are pretty much simple! It has used mainly red and white and a tiny bit of orange. These colours are used because beyonce’s genre is mainly R&B/Pop, and their songs are usually about love, energy and a pure in sound which is what the colours red white and orange symbolise. The font used is strong and bold which makes it stand out like beyonce and is also easy to read. The only image on the magazine is a image beyonce who seems to be soaked… this also reflects on her genre because their topics also have sexually explicit content in both lyrics and video’s.
Hip-Hop This Hip – hop magazine consists of mainly red and white colours with a decent amount of text and an image of ’50 cent’. There is little advertisement but the magazine is not too flashy in terms of features. The red most likely reflects on hip hop as a genre as some of its songs and artists are influences by love, danger and sex. The white is used to stand out of red with a bold font which also reflects the artists in Hip hop. 50 cent’s image of him looking directly at you almost pops out of the magazine making him the most appealing figure, so people will instantly know its about 50 cent.
Front cover Influence Each magazine has used similar layout features but with different colours and different advertisements. This 50 cent magazine is similar to the other two but has more advertisement and text including offers which younger people will also like, i.e. ‘FREE £20 GIFT CARDS 20 classic downloads’ . I will most likely add this too my magazine as well. The uncut magazine is good and simple but a bit too simple . My magazine will most likely be aimed at a younger audience so will need to look more lively. The vibe magazine is much more brighter than the uncut magazine above with more text around it. In my own magazine I will most likely use bright colours with an average amount of text and have my featured artist in the centre like all of the magazines.

Contents page influence • My contents page can either be simplistic or have quite a bit of information (Prefer simplistic) • I can use images to show what will be on some pages (I will) • I can add external information that will link the reader to different information i.e. a website (Maybe) • My contents page will be on one side instead of being a double page spread with the first content on the right.
