  3. Why Coorg Coorg, also known as Kodagu, a tranquil area in Southern Karnataka cradled in the Western Ghats, fondly known as Scotland of India. The Whitgift Foundation was established in 1596, a legacy to the people of Croydon from John Whitgift, through its mission of care for the elderly and education for the young and which lies at the heart of its charitable activity today.
