Results • 126 patients (252 eyes) • Male= 58 (46%) Females= 68 (54%). • Mean duration of diabetes since diagnosis= 3.89 years. • Diabetic retinopathy present in 34.5% (103 eyes). • 3.17% of the eyes had CSME.
Conclusion • The study has shown that diabetes has affected the most economically active age group (31-50 years) • Duration of diabetes diabetic retinopathy (Pearson chi2 p= .000) • A total of 34.5% eyes had diabetic retinopathy; of which 8.73% (22/252) were males and 11.5% (29/252) were females.
Take Home Message • Registration. • Diabetic Retinopathy as a part of Primary Eye Care. • Call the patient!!! • Health education at community level. • Rehabilitation.
