  6. Communications Resources Prepositioned • Radio cache at Initial Operating Facility • Satellite phones at key facilities • MATTS • MERS Detachment (Rotating) • Thomasville MERS: • Quick Response System • Emergency Operations Vehicle with KU satellite/receiver

  7. Resources Prepositioned • National Capital Region Emergency Response Team • Disaster Medical Assistance Team • 2 Management Support Teams • National Medical Response Team (WMD capable)

  8. Resources Prepositioned(cont’d) • 2 Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces (MD-1, VA-1) • 4 Additional Task Forces identified • 2 Pharmaceutical Caches • Nuclear / Radiological Support

  9. ERT-ROC (Region) Interface • For the NCR, the EST functions as the ROC. • The EST will activate national response resources. • If necessary, the ERT-NCR will draw additional resources as necessary from: • Region III • Back-up Region (situation dependent)
