  2. LO: to use a wide range of vocabulary to describe your landscape • Success criteria: • I can use a range of ambitious, imaginative and exciting vocabulary to make my readers go ‘wow’. • By using the 6 step sentences approach we will achieve level 5 or level 6 writing for vocabulary!

  5. 6 Step-Sentences • The building was on the hill. • Proudly, the imposing grand castle glared out at the savage wilderness beyond. • Which sentence will get the highest level? • How can we improve our sentences in 6 steps?

Write a 100 word description of your landscape • The description can be planned on your scenic map • Read and level the descriptions in your iBook • Plan it in your iBook • Use similes, metaphors, alliteration, personification and the 6 steps to building an interesting sentence • I can use a range of ambitious, imaginative and exciting vocabulary to make my readers go ‘wow’. • This will be peer assessed!
