Convention on international trade in Endangered species of 1973 • Regulates the international trade in animals and plants that may be threatened by trade. • Began enforcing strongly in 1975 • Approved December 28, 1973 • International
Environmental issues affected • Protects animals and plants that are endangered or are threatened to become endangered. • Prohibits sales of the animals and plants as well as their products (Tusks, furs, ect.)
