  2. Our Mission • Our mission is to change the way you think about bakeries. We provide a fun and inviting atmosphere that you will enjoy. We say, “Appearance isn’t everything, it’s what’s on the inside that counts”. We take a unique spin on our cakes and pastries. You’ll notice that not a single cake looks like what you would find in any old bakery. We pride ourselves on our uniqueness. Our cakes are not appealing to the eye, but we promise you that once you take that first bite you will be running back for more. 2

  4. Background/History • There is a little background information or history behind our name. It all has to do with two great friends who just wanted some cake. My best friend and I are the creators of I Made It. One night, our freshman year of college, we were both feeling down and torn to bits, it was finals week. We decided that it was time to make a cake. Kerri, my best friend and fellow creator, said she knew of a great recipe that her grandmother uses. We proceeded to go out to the store, buy the ingredients, and bake the cake. By the time we had finished baking this wonderful cake we couldn’t help but laugh about how utterly horrid the cake looked. Naturally, we ate it anyways. You know about girls and their chocolate. It was the best cake I had yet to taste. We began joking about the cake and wound up coming up with the name I Made It because we thought of it as this, when someone comes to our bakery to purchase a cake for let’s say a birthday, you take it home and people taste the cake and then ask “where did you get it?”, you would then proceed to say, “OH, I Made It” and no one would argue because most people cannot bake or at least make an actually appealing cake. It would be perfectly ironic. There is a lot of heart, soul, and passion that goes into our bakery and that is what makes our pastries so good. 4
