  3. Leg and shoulder injury • When James Ryan was only 25 years old he got a very big leg injury. It took him 11 mouths to recover. • He also got a shoulder injury which also keeped him out

  4. Super 14 • This year James Ryan said he was going to have a long break to think about about the rest of his carrier. He was signed with the NZRU for the next two years. He was playing for the Highlanders and otago.

  5. All black • James Ryan played 7 tests for the All Blacks. He also played for the under 21s when they won the world cup. He played as a lock and did have a promising career until he decided, he was taking a long break.

  6. His figures • James Andrew Cheyne Ryan was his full name. • He was born on Thursday, 10 February 1983 in Christchurch. • His height 2.00m, weight 114kg. • INTERNATIONAL DEBUT 10 June 2005v Fiji at Albanyaged 22 years old.
