STOP WORK IMMEDIATELY Flow Chart Accidental Disturbance of ACM’s RMP/22a Have you any dust or debris on yourself or your clothing If possible take a shower, otherwise wash thoroughly Remove clothing and place in a plastic bag Prevent anyone from entering the area Make sure the washing facilities are left in a clean condition YES NO This flow chart leads you in the right direction on what to do should you become contaminated with asbestos or accidentally disturb asbestos Report the problem to the Maintenance Manager or Deputy as soon as possible NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED File copy of analysis certificate in Maintenance Asbestos Register Update all copies of Asbestos Register Maintenance Manager will arrange for specialist contractor to take a sample of material for analysis NO YES Does it contain Asbestos? Maintenance Manager will employ a specialist contractor licensed by the HSE to carry out removal and disposal
