Virginia Tech Partners with NUWC for Advanced VR Visualization in Multi-Warfare Planning

Virginia Tech has collaborated with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) through the NAVCIITI program over the last three years to enhance multi-warfare planning and execution. This partnership has led to the development of high-end visualization applications, including CONRAY, a Submarine Conical Raytrace Visualization tool utilizing Virginia Tech's Diverse Toolkit for display in multiple virtual environments. Another significant achievement is TALOSS, a computer platform-independent 3D tactical visualization system for submarines that leverages advanced display technology.
