  8. Old Myths • 1. In the War of the Gigantes, Ares fought and slew Mimas (Mimon). • 2. The Aloadae Giants chained Ares up when fighting the gods. Later, Ares was rescued by Hermes, who was informed by the Giants' stepmother. • 3. Herakles killed Ares' children as two of his twelve labors. Ares was later wounded by Herakles in the War of Pylos. (Just your everyday half-brother fighting. No big deal.)
