About the Program Innovation and Entrepreneurship @ Columbia provides a platform to explore and develop entrepreneurial ideas by leveraging the cross-functional capabilities, knowledge, and intellectual capacity of the University at large. • Participation is FREE • 12 teams of 3-5 people will be selected • Sessions feature leading business school faculty • Format: lecture, discussion & workshop • Pitch your venture at the final DEMO DAY

Who Can Apply? • Anyone who is employedby Columbia University • Anyone who is a student of Columbia University • Alumni may only apply as members of teams, not as project leaders. • Preference will be given to well-balanced teamsofthree to five people with a compelling idea for a high-potential venture.

  4. Application Process • Apply online at www.gsb.columbia.edu/entrepreneurship/innovation • by November 18,2014 • Teams selected in early-December to present • Finalist interviews will be held to provide guidance to participants on issues of equity, intellectual property, and pre-course preparation BEFORE YOU APPLY: We suggest you have a complete team (3-5 people) who can take the project from idea to launch in the program.

  6. Benefits and Give Back • Final event: Presentation to angel investors, venture capitalists for possible funding. • The goal is to make IE@Columbia a self-sustaining, evergreen program.

  8. Important Dates Team-Building Has Begun Columbia University community members are invited to build/join a team through the IE@Columbia website. Application Deadline Applications are due on November 18, 2014. Finalists will be notified by November 24, 2014. Presentation to Admissions Committee On Tuesday, December 2, 6 to 9 PM, 24 selected teams will make 20-minute presentations (including a 10-minute Q&A) to the admissions committee comprised of faculty members and outside experts. Approximately 12 teams will be admitted to the program. Finalist Interviews December 9 & 10 Acceptance Notification December 15 Program Dates Every Friday from January 23 to April 24, 2015, 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Final Presentation to Investors May 5, 2015, 6 to 9 PM at Morgan Stanley
