Homework Assignment (5 pts to be added to your score on Test 1) • For each of the three proteins we discussed today: • Dock aldosterone and cortisol into the proteins • Identify amino acid side chains in each protein that interact with the bound ligand (sel :(Ligand Name) z<3.5) • Show the bonds between these residues and the ligands • Align the three protein/ligand complexes • Use the ligand with the best Binding Mode • Compile all of your results into no more than six figures and generate a short Powerpoint presentation that fully explains the evolution of the Corticoid Receptors and the divergence of the AncCR to GR and MR proteins. Turn this in by 5:00PM on Friday, March 9, 2012. • Full Credit Relies Upon a Mature, Complete Answer that shows in depth thought and analysis about the system.
