  1. TERRA ROSSA CABERNET SAUVIGNON VINTAGE 2004 Winemaker notes: Deep crimson red with purple hues. Nose is rich and complex with lifted red and black fruits and spiced undertones. The palate has density with blackberry, dark chocolate and sweet hazelnut flavours entwined with French oak support. The vintage was cool and very late ripening with tannins ripening in May. Subsequently wines have very dark colours, super rich flavours and excellent complexity. Made for extended cellaring for 15 or more years. Decant before serving. Varietal composition Cabernet Sauvignon 98%, Merlot 2% Bottling Date March 2006 Fermentation Method Maceration in 8 tonne static stainless steel fermenters Fermentation Time 7 days Yeast type AWRI 796 Skin Contact Time 14days Barrel Origin 100% French Oak Barriques Darguad & Jaegle, Seguin Moreau, Taransaud & Sirugue Time in barrel 20months MLF 100% Alcohol 14.2% Residual Sugar 0.3 g/L Acidity (TA) 7.4g/L pH 3.47 Viticulture Region Coonawarra Yield 3.5tonnes/acre Date of Harvest 3rd – 7th May Vine Age 19years Clone Reynella Selection Cabernet Sauvignon Soil Type Terra Rossa over Limestone PARKER COONAWARRA ESTATE - P.O. BOX 305 COONAWARRA SOUTH AUSTRALIA - www.parkercoonawarraestate.com.au Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossawines reflect the stylistic approach to creating beautiful wines from the rich terra rossa soils of the region. The unique micro climate of Parker vineyards located in the southern part of Coonawarra, being less prone to frost with longer ripening on the vine, impart unique qualities in the wine. Integral to the style and structure is 7 day warm fermentation followed by maceration on skins. Aged in new and one year old French oak, the result is fruit expression and elegance in structure to add complexity and cellaring potential.

  2. TERRA ROSSA CABERNET SAUVIGNON VINTAGE 2004 MEDIA REVIEWS A tight classic Cabernet with earth and blackcurrant combining a slight savoury mould: restrained tannins and quality French oak to tip the scales in its favour Rating 94 James Halliday – Australian Wine Companion 2008 A deeper colour than either the 2002 or 2003 with deep garnet core and ruby rim. The nose is quite reserved but there is certainly more fruit intensity than the previous vintages. Blackberry, cedar and a touch of seaweed with good definition. A full-bodied palate, very well defined and balanced with notes of blackberry, cedar, mulberry and cherry, leading towards a more corpulent, sensual finish. Very focused and harmonious. Superb. Tasted October 2007eRobertParker.com PARKER COONAWARRA ESTATE - P.O. BOX 305 COONAWARRA SOUTH AUSTRALIA - www.parkercoonawarraestate.com.au Mint and floral, its fragrance of cassis, violets, dark chocolate and a cedar/vanilla oak precedes a fine elegant and slightly one-dimensional palate. Framed by firmish but pliant tannins, its intense blackberry, plum and cassis-like fruit is handsomely backed by fine-grained oak, finishing with tightness and focus. 90 points Jeremy Oliver – The Australian Wine Annual 2007 A wine that oozes class from every part of its elegant refined profile. Immensely powerful palate, yet the seamless integration of oak, fine tannins and silky smooth fruit results in a wine of classic style. A beauty for some extended cellaring. 95/100 West Australian, Ray Jordan, 14th June, page 25 This wine is so tight and closed that if you must drink it today, do it justice and double decant it. The wine just explodes with vibrant blackberry and blackcurrant fruit and underlying tobacco, cedar and mocha notes that follow through on the palate. It’s intense, rich marked acidity, some sweet and savoury oak notes. Time is all it needs. Jane Faulkner – The Age May 2007
