What is a common noun? • A common noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
What is a proper noun? • A proper noun names a particular person, place, thing, or idea. • It is always capitalized. • In proper nouns of more than one word, each important word is capitalized. • East Middle School • Empire State Building
