The SU3 Herwig validation job has been running smoothly in the RTT for the past few weeks, thanks to Alex Richards' implementation. The job utilizes the jobTransform.csc_genAtlfast_tr.py script along with the job option CSC.005403.SU3_jimmy_susy.py, producing NTUP and AOD format files. These are analyzed using the su3_NTUP_validation.C macro to generate histogram files. While plots are automatically created for comparison with reference data, a bug was recently identified in the validation macro, causing erroneous results. The issue has been fixed, and new plots are expected soon.

EG. • Some investigation found this to be due to a bug in the RTT implementation of su3_NTUP_validation.C, causing it to run over more events than contained in monitored file • bug found last Thursday – now fixed! (but due to separate RTT issues, no new plots yet produced) DCube Plot http://atlas-project-rtt-results.web.cern.ch/atlas-project-rtt-results/weeklyTable/weekly.php (This plot from Tues. 6th May 2008: rel_2/dev/build/ )
