  8. §Consists of two main parts: furnace and the boiler proper

  9. §The rate of steam production depends on the rate of combustion of the fuel, and the efficiency of the heat transfer in the boiler proper

  10. §The volume of the boiler is 75% water

  11. §The remaining portion becomes filled with steam when the boiler is operating

  12. §There are two main approaches to building a steam boiler
