Recognizing Primary Immunodeficiency: 10 Warning Signs in Children and Adults

If you or someone you know exhibits two or more of the following warning signs, consult a physician about the possibility of primary immunodeficiency. In children: frequent ear infections, serious sinus infections, ineffective antibiotics, pneumonia, poor weight gain, recurrent abscesses, persistent thrush, and a family history of immunodeficiency. In adults: similar symptoms including chronic diarrhea, recurrent viral infections, and infections from harmless bacteria. Early diagnosis is crucial.
