Innovative Circuit-Completing Contraption by Queen Group

The Queen Group, consisting of Brian Hampton, David Miller, and Logan Voss, aimed to design a contraption that completes an electric circuit to illuminate a light. Utilizing materials like scrap wood, springs, metal supports, hinges, hammers, marbles, coke bottles, and string, we crafted a functional device. Despite challenges such as ensuring the marble landed in the funnel consistently and working with limited supplies, our teamwork and creativity led to a successful outcome. Through hard work and collaboration, our project showcases our engineering skills and problem-solving abilities.

  1. Sergeant Slaughter's Home coming Queen

  2. Group Members • Brian Hampton • David Miller • Logan Voss

  3. Overview • Our goal was to design a contraption that would complete a circuit to light up a light. • Materials used; Scrap wood, two springs, metal supports, hinges, two hammers, marbles, two coke bottles, and string.

  4. Calculations • Spring constant: x- K- F- • Height of the ball: W-

  5. Assuming a linear spring

  6. Conclusion • Problems we faced: • Getting first marble to consistently land in the funnel. • Limited supplies and cost. • We spent many hours on our project. With everyone's help and creativity our project was successful.
