  4. Our Christmas palm-tree! It is currently being used for decorating our chalkboard!

  5. Our handmade classroom Helper! “Kouklaki” means “little doll” and it comes from the greek word “Koukla” which means “doll” We made him out of clay, fabric and mohair. His name is Lakis Kouklakis (with /a/ stressed in both name and surname).

  6. Καλήν ημέραν, άρχοντες(Kalin imeran, archontes) This song is “Kalin imeran, archontes” (=“Good morning, noble men –or lords”, the word “archontes” refers to the kind people who are the “lords” in their own house. This song is sang by all children in our country on Christmas Eve. The children gather together and they wander from door to door in their neighboorhood, singing this song. The residents give them sweets or some coins, wishing them “Merry Christmas”).
