  2. What if we do nothing? A teenage boy will cross the desert to be with the parents he has not seen since he was two. Leaving behind the “parents” who’ve raised him Adios, abuelito. Te quiero, abuelita. Meeting his siblings for the first time. Thrust into a new and extraño world. Lost and Found.

  3. What if we do nothing? A teenage girl will span the distance between her mother and her father Their divorce imprinted on her heart. Split in two. Mexico and America “Where are you from?” we ask. Her big eyes respond. Blank. ¿De donde soy? No lo sé. I don’t know.

  4. Born in the United States of America. Carried to Mexico at three by her Mexican mother. Adiós, Papa. Te quiero. Living in Mexico but not legalized there means No high school. No driver’s license. No future in Mexico.

  5. She returns to America, Land of the free at eighteen. Driven back across the border by her father. Adiós, Mama. Te quiero mucho! Invisible there. Silent here.

  6. What if we do nothing?
